As part of Virginia International University’s ongoing strategic outreach to DC-area embassies, Dr. Klara Bilgin, Dean of of the School of Public & International Affairs and Dr. Kymm Watson, Dean of the School of Business visited the embassy of the Republic of Moldova to discuss areas of possible academic collaboration.
VIU is strategically interested in creating new partnerships with universities in Europe, Latin America, Asia and Africa in an effort to further diversify VIU’s international student body. VIU currently has over 40 active MOUs with universities around the world and offers special regional scholarships to new partner institutions.
To date, VIU’s summer embassy visits have included the embassies of Armenia, Georgia, Estonia, Czech Republic, Macedonia, Latvia, Bulgaria, Poland, Croatia, Nepal, Bangladesh, Mexico and Moldova. Additional visits to the embassies of Chile, Portugal and Argentina are planned in the coming weeks.
