It’s final exam time! Exams are a significant part, not only of the class but also on your final grades. No matter how difficult an exam may be, you should strive to do the best you can do. Here are a few practices that will help you survive finals.

VIU will be participating in the 2017 Northern Virginia Corporate Fun Run to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  The event will take place on Tuesday, June 27th at 5pm at Ticonderoga Farm in Chantilly, VA.

VIU’s School of Business is hosting a Cyber Security Management Consulting seminar for those interested in learning more about Management Consulting. We will be hearing about this rapidly growing field from Lieutenant Colonel Antonio Johnson, US Army, retired.

The speaker Lieutenant Colonel Antonio Johnson, US Army, Retired is a world leading expert in cybersecurity consulting.  He is a highly decorated combat veteran who served in the U. S. Army for over 23 years. He was born in Estill, South Carolina and is a proud graduate of Estill High School. He graduated from Savannah State University in 1992 as a distinguished military graduate and commissioned in the Armor Branch.

Retired Lt. Col. Johnson held multiple military positions such as 3rd Armor Cavalry Regiment Armor Officer, Military Intelligence Commander, US Army Recruiting Commander, multiple Intelligence combat operation positions in Iraq and Afghanistan while assigned to the 101st Airborne Division. He was a voting member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) while deployed to Afghanistan, Joint Intelligence Exercise Planner in support of war time operations and a member of the US Army Inspector General. Retired Lt. Col. Johnson is currently the Co-Founder and Vice President of GlobalKynect, LLC, a Cyber Security Government and International contracting company. 

Retired Lt. Col. Johnson’s military education includes, Armor Officer Basic Course, Military Intelligence Advanced Course, Military Intelligence Signals Intelligence Course, Combined Arms & Services Staff School, United States Recruiting Course, Command & General Staff College, Joint Professional Military Education, US Army Inspector General Course and the US Army Staff Officer Course.

Retired Lt. Col. Johnson’s awards and decorations include the Army Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (4x), Army Service Ribbon, Southwest Asia, National Defense Service Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Overseas Service Ribbon, The Joint Chief of Staff Identification Badge, the US Army Recruiting Badge and Parachutist Badge.
