The SCIS is inviting all students to come and join the new and improved IT club. All current and graduating students are welcome to register to be a member. The VIU IT club strives to help its members develop strong networking skills and keep up to date with the current innovations in the IT field. We feel that developing these skillsets will pay great dividends for our members as they enter the professional world after graduation.

The VIU IT Club serves all students at VIU who have an interest in IT.  Technology is integrating into all parts of the professional world and we feel that all students would benefit from developing some practical experience in IT. We do not limit membership to just computing students. Students from all disciplines can join IT Club and meet to discuss topics of professional interest, exchange workplace experience, and review the current developments in the global IT job market.

Why Join the IT Club?

There are multiple benefits that come with membership in the IT club. They include:

  • Expanding your understanding of the future of the computing professions and their value in the business world.
  • Gaining valuable insight to help shape your career path.
  • Meeting computing professionals from the business world.
  • Staying abreast of current and future market trends, job opportunities, and news in the domain of Information Technology.

Please feel free to contact the president and vice president for more details as they are available to answer any questions that you may have. All students who have already registered for IT Club in the past, we advise you to register again as we are updating the member list.
