On Monday, April 25, and Wednesday, April 27, from 6 PM – 8 PM, Virginia International University will be hosting a dinner for the participants of the International Festival of Language and Culture (IFLC). In addition to dinner, the event will include a multitude of activities. Attendees can expect a photobooth, opportunities to network, and various educational games and contests with exciting prizes.
The IFLC has been holding its language and culture festival at different locations for the past 13 years. The event showcases the rich multicultural diversity of our world, as well as the boundless talent of our youth. IFLC events draw participants from over 160 countries, with over 1,000 student performers each year. In its 14th year, Washington, D.C. will be one of the many cities co-hosting this international event.
The event itself will be held on Thursday, April 28 at 6:30 PM at the DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C. More than 100 performers are expected to exhibit their cultural traditions through poetry, song, and dance, to reflect the festival’s theme, “Beautiful Colors of the World,” and express friendship and hope for the future.
