Virginia International University’s Marketing and Public Relations Departments are pleased to announce the “Testimonial and Social Life at VIU” video contest, which will span from mid-September to mid-October.The contest is a chance for VIU students (and staff!) to show their talents and creativity, as well as to share their personal experience at the university. Suggested topics include: VIU’s affordable tuition and payment plan options; experiences with VIU’s diverse staff, faculty, professors, and fellow students; VIU’s academic offerings; services offered to students at VIU; life in the US; goals after graduation.

The Institute for Islam and the Sciences (IIS) at Virginia International University is pleased to announce its inaugural event, titled Foundations in Islam & Other World Religions for Addressing Ecological Concerns.

Virginia International University’s School of Education welcomes all to join us for the October event in our Voices from the Field Speaker Series: a presentation entitled “Third Culture Kids and Cross Cultural Kids: Understanding our Highly Mobile Students in the Classroom.” 

VIU’s Writing, Research, & Media Center (WRMC) is pleased to announce a new series of hands-on sessions aimed at helping students to improve their writing. Students will have an opportunity to interact with WRMC staff and invited guests to explore topics related to improving student writing for work, school, and beyond. There will be two kinds of events: brown bag lunches and workshops.

Virginia International University professor Dr. Mark Robinson recently authored his first book, titled Marketing Big Oil: Brand Lessons from the World’s Largest Companies. The tone set in the book comes from over a decade of Dr. Robinson’s experience working with one of the largest oil companies in the world.
