VIU Establishes Toastmasters Club

Are you one of the countless individuals suffering from glossophobia? (I’ll spare you the Google search: glossophobia is the fear of public speaking, also called speech anxiety.) Glossophobia is extremely common, but many of us have to face that fear at work, at school, or at social events. We have felt the palms of our hands grow cold and sweaty; we have felt the butterflies in our stomachs; we have heard our voices betray us by shaking, cracking, and breaking when addressing a group of listeners.
